If you decide to take a relaxing water ride on Cane Creek’s lake, be sure to grasp onto the gorgeous scenery. During the summer, the park’s trees hold a pleasing, bright green color which indicate the well-cared habitat within the park. There are beautiful flowers that surround the area, which you can only find during the spring and summer! Although you can only catch the majority of the park’s nature scene in the spring and summer, the fall boasts a warm tone throughout the woods. If you choose to visit on a brisk, fall day, be sure to take in your surroundings, as it will create a sensation of warmth and comfort.
Also, don’t forget to check below your boat when you are traveling on the water! The fish within Cane Creek’s lake love to flutter their fins, which makes them completely visible! The habitat at Cane Creek hosts a variety of species that are all owned by the park. The geese and ducks are sure to be a crowd pleaser for any young one in your life, as the geese are owned by the park and remain extremely friendly. The city does an amazing job of preserving the park, and ensuring its safety, cleanliness, and natural habitat. To ensure the cleanliness of Cane Creek, there are some rules and regulations that all guests have to abide by: no littering, no smoking inside the park, and no horseplay with nature (chasing the geese.) Also, as a reminder, do not feed the birds with bread! It is not good for them and can potentially give them diabetes. It is recommended to not feed the animals within Cane Creek, but this can be hard to manage due to the lack of surveillance.
After seeing the beautiful creatures in Cane Creek, head to one of the covered picnic pavilions for some shade, while the kids explore one of the many playground areas. There are a total of five playgrounds and three picnic shelters. If you are interested in planning an event at Cane Creek, use the picnic shelters! If you are looking to rent a pavilion, it is recommended to call Cane Creek’s SportsPlex to reserve the area (number provided below.) These picnic areas are quite large and can potentially host family reunions, birthday parties, and so much more! A summer get-together to bask in the sun with the family would be so much fun! Also, please note that alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the park what-so-ever! So, what are you waiting for? These pavilions are the best for summer birthday parties!
